Credit Card processing solution without wired phone line

    Hi,
Does anyone use a credit card processing solution that doesn't rely upon a wired phone line in their retail store?
From searching this forum it appears Elavon use hardware that doesn't need a phone line.
The shop where this would be going definitely needs to be able to process credit and debit cards but installation of a phone line and monthly standing charge is a fixed cost that the owners could happily live without.

There is a iPhone app with Card Scanner you can use.

    Can't remember the name though.

I love when people recemmend IPhone apps for a Retail Store. If the store has an EPOS system (not just cash registers) then the company providing the EPOS should be able to provide a broadband option for credit card processing.

If not then contacting an Irish EPOS supplier like Retail Solutions or CBE and asking them about it might help.

I know CBE do a standalone broadband credit card processing option if you do not want to purchase a new EPOS system.

The following companies have a broadband option for processing credit cards
+ Flexicom (I have never used it, but I have been involved in the phone line option)
    + Integral
    + Commidea
    + DataCash
