I setup a company 8 years ago. I thought I was doing the right thing registered for VAT and doing everything above board.

I was working normal 9 to 5 and operating the business out of hours.

For about 5 years now, the business has not be active, but I have to continue to submit accounts although there 0.

Closing down the business means more accounts bills and an advert in the paper, about 1 thousand euro in total.

Does anyone know if there is a cheaper way around this.....? hard to believe its the same for everyone closing a business in these hard time..

    Advice would be great.

Voluntary strike off. This topic has been covered a million times over on boards and AAM, do some google work and research.
