Grapeseed oil

Would grapeseed oil be any better than olive oil for cooking? I've ditched the olive oil for frying, using butter instead. Or does grapeseed become unstable when heated too? I know coconut oil is recommended, but I live in the middle of nowhere and it's hard to get my hands on.

Is butter better than oil? Holland and Barrett do Coconut Oil, It turns solid at low temperatures.

As far as I know grapeseed oil does have a higher stability level at high temperatures than olive and so is a much better alternative for frying.

You can't go wrong with coconut oil or butter though and they tend to be very tasty too which is great!

    Why not use lard instead?

No it is not better than olive oil and yes it does become unstable when heated, so I would avoid if I were you.

The following article recommends only olive oil, coconut oil and real butter.

I guess I'll stick with butter. I'm not mad on the taste of food fried in lard.
