I've recently set up a website which is mainly aimed at 17 - 25 years olds in Ireland (sorry dont want to give too much away just yet!). There is no fees or subscriptions attached to the site. I've just set up Adsense on the site but Im wondering if I really can make any money from that? Is there any other ways of making money from a website?

You need a serious amount of traffic to make money from adsense. you need to build up traffic before you can do anything to make money really.

is it an information website for 17-25 year olds? or are you going to try and sell them some thing in the future.

Its just information provided on the site.

Is there alternatives to using adsense if its difficult to make money from it?

How long is the website running? How many unique visitors do you get each month? How many page impressions per month?

It's not just adsense that will be difficult, it will be most advertising. If you don't have the user base then the ads on the site are not going to get clicked.

The site only went live a few weeks ago so I havent got a figure for unique visitors but I would expect a few thousand a week (sorry its a vague figure!)

I would consider other approaches to earning money from it. Surely there must be some ways of generating money from a information website.

Depending on the niche, you would need those kind of figures per day.

    Sell the information.

I would be surprised if you got a few thousand a week with a new site. Have you set up Google Analytics so you can see exactly what your traffic is?
