I want something thats gonna be fast (so minimum 2gb)
Not too big ( gonna be bringing it around uni)
Durable/Long lasting, don't want something thats gonna get slow after a few months.
I won't be using it to play games so GFX card doesnt matter, though it would be nice if it could handle FM.

    Recommendations?

Haven't owned a laptop yet so don't know that much about specifications

13.3 inch screen - portable size - up to 8 hour battery (real life prob about 6 hours)
3 gigs of ram, specs are fine, they deliver to ireland, 10 sterling delivery, very good

You can browse other models and I strongly recommend you read reviews online, you might prefer a 14 inch

Thats one of the best sites with the best prices at the mo

Thats a 15.6, standard laptop size, there are loads of available, just google a review of it before u buy to find out what the niggles are.. like crap trackpad, etc

Look, theres no lemons anymore, its like cars, they all run fast now, and unless you are doing hardcore programming or encoding you won't notice a big diff between processors

If you want portability and batt life for college I would suggest something around 13.3 or 14 inch

If you want a full size machine then that one should be fine, just read review first as always

Heres how to figure it out

If its gonna sit on your desk in wherever to watch movies, etc then I recommend a 15.6

But if you are planning bringing it in and out every day.. 13.3 or 14 inch

That's grand. I sent them email advising them of my VAT number. I will call them tomorrow before I place the order and confirm delivery time.
