Just looking to avail of the bike to work scheme we have in work and its with quay cycles drogheda. Mainly looking for a bike to get to and from work but would also consider using it for some longer cycles if i got into it. Looking to spend around 400-600 so ill be paying half that. Load of the lads in work got a hybrid bike for around that price but are they only used for town cycling? Im completly new to this so dont have a clue what a decent bike would be.

Drop into the lads in quay cycles and talk to them. They should be able to give you the various options and help you decide what you want from a new bike. They've a good bit of stock in there so you should get a good idea of whats available for your purpose/price point

Surely you're not only limited to only one shop? There is also another very good shop in nearby Morington http://www.paulberrill.com/web/ Not to mention the many web based shops available?

Yea he will look after you, after the sale, he appears to me as very straight, and he will give a very decent try at the bike before you buy it.
