About €120 per tyre for a good brand

I picked up Bridgestone Turanza 205 55 r16 for €90 each in Atlas last month, fitted and balanced, so I'd say no more than €120 should get you those, perhaps a bit less.

You can get these for around €90 a corner delivered if you can find some place local to fit them for a reasonable price.

VErso should be 205-55-16 not 225-55-16 if it's the 2004-2010 model.

I'm currently using hankooks on my avensis. Would like to buy locally, but you get a lot more variety, and way better pricing online.

You should be able to find a local garage to fit these no bother, but ring around first.

Got a great deal from Dave McCann Tyres in Coolmine, D15 last September on 4 Continental Premium Contact 2 (225, 55, R16) - (€90 a corner fully fitted, balanced, new valves) - Great tyres in both wet and dry. Price may have gone up a bit since but worth giving him a call anyway IMO.

I looked at the option of going 'North' and also Camskills but, having done the sums, I was happy to shop at home.

    - Just had a look at Camskill and the same tyre is currently £122.60 - That's Sterling, before delivery and fitting!

    Hope this helps

    Go to your local dealer..
    haggle
and dont be afraid to look around a few places...
ask for a fitted price, including balancing/tracking.

some include this for free, some charge.

you should try tyreland.ie. They are based in cabra i think, i got two nearly new tyres last week and they come in three grades. Definately worth checkin out as i was very impressed with the tyres i got.

Just checked the site there, its 48 euro per tyre for grade A tyres for this car. Grade A means it still has a minimum of 75% thread depth.

Had these on a Focus in the same size and found them to be a great tyre:
