SL350 is schweet, SL 500 is another level altogether.If you can afford one of these,petrol prices are the least of your worries.:)I drove an SL 55 AMG a while back,what a cruise missile.Doing over a ton and not realising it,lovely.

26 around town is great, you should get 30+ on the motorway.

Your right, if your driving an SL, MPG doesn't really matter:)

ya 26mpg around town would be a bit unbelieveable , i have a Bmw 645ci myself the 4.4 V8 and i average about 16-18 around town and 25 combined , which to be honest , im delighted with

well wear the SL is a lovely motor :cool:

Jes*s I was reading the first page thinking 26 mpg was just unreal.

Then I saw you're actually getting 15 mpg which is much more like it.

That is very good alright. For a car thats 3.7 litres I thought it would only be about 15mpg or something like that. I'm sure you'll get a lot higher mpg on the motorways.
