Should I text him?

Made a thread here recently about a casual relationship I was in that just ended abruptly when I was away with the job. Anyway I thought it was strange how that happened as he texted me all the time before hand for a couple of months then stopped. Barely replying to me when I returned. I sent a text to say that was ok but to at least let me know if he wanted it to stop as I thought it seemed he had lost interest.
Well he said he was sick and had something that would take a few weeks to go away but we decided to call it anyway last week. I suspected that wasn't the only reason and my suspicions were confirmed last night when I went out locally and lo and behold there he was with another woman. He didn't say hi or anything to me,or acknowledge I was there. Could have been a case that he had not even seen me, but I don't think so....

Anyway I am a little down about it I guess today for some reason as I think it was a bit disrespectful and dishonest as we were both straight from the beginning, it seemed.

I really want to text to say that he didn't have to lie or pretend he was sick to me to get away. Is it a bad idea?

I don't know if it's a bad idea, so much as completely unnecessary.

Do you think he doesn't know he didn't have to lie or pretend he was sick? Of course he does, he's a coward and took the cowardly option. I wouldn't give him the ego boost of knowing you are still thinking about him, tbh. Just draw a line under it and chalk it up to experience.

    All the best.

Just drop it. I remember your last thread on this and you "claimed" you weren't really all that interested in him which you made clear to him from the start. It obviously has no future so it will come across as a little odd to text him to confront him over this. Just leave it be.

I did claim it was not a serious thing but I guess I am a little hurt to be treated like that for no reason. I am thinking now perhaps I had some feeling toward him then...when I saw him last night, my heart leapt. Then I saw a woman walk out after him and it sank again. And I feel a bit down about it now.

Ah leave him off... Nothing to be gained from contacting him... Looks like he was letting you down gently before. He is entitled to move on without feel g guilty.

It was a casual relationship that he casually discarded. I suggest you do the same.

This seems to be a recurring problem with these things. One party always seems to take the thing more seriously than the other.

I would agree that there is no point in texting him - simply because, as another poster said, it will probably have the opposite effect to what you think. He'll take it as an ego-boost that you're bothered.
And I completely disagree with S23 - it's not unreasonable to be upset that he lied even if it was casual. It's about mutual respect, which is important even in casual relationships.
I'd say just move on and forget about him, and remember that he's the one with the issues if he can't be straightforward and honest, or even acknowledge you anymore.
