Hi guys,

I have recently come back from a 3 week holiday in the states. While back in work, this girl I liked asked me numerous questions about my holiday, and then asked if I had sex while on my holiday. I answered honestly and said yes, and told her with how many people (3).

For the rest of the night she was in a mood with me, and I don't know why. I hope this didn't annoy her as I like her, but why could she have been put into a mood with what I said?

Any insights?

Thanks.

This.

And why was she asking you if you had sex? It's none of her business tbh, she's not dating you. And yeah maybe she's in a mood now because you told her you had sex with three people in three weeks on hols and she no longer has the hots for you as a result.

Sorry mate but a girl doesn't want to hear that from a guy she fancies. That would make me think he wasn't really boyfriend material ... In future I'd keep that sort of info to yourself.

If she couldn't handle the answer she shouldn't have asked the question. Think carefully if you do decide to date her...

I don't think this is true. I think she asked to gain information about the OP. Now she has it and shes probably changed her opinion of him based on his actions which she is perfectly entitled to do.

I doubt the OP will have to worry about deciding to date her now anyway.

Yeah, but the OP says that she was "in a mood" with him for the rest of the night. That sounds more immature than anything. She can change her opinion of him if she wants, but not talking to him is a bit much. I remember doing this exact thing when I was a teenager and my crush would kiss someone on a night out.

OP, I reckon she likes/ liked you back and hoped that you wouldn't be with anyone on your holiday. Maybe take her mood as an opportunity to talk to her and see if she admits to having feelings for you. It could be a good chance to tell her you like her.

What an inappropriate question for a colleague to ask. Personally, I'd have responded with "What an inappropriate question for a colleague to ask".

I'd say she was expecting you to say no, you only have eyes for her etc etc. She was probably disappointed and feeling a bit rejected.

To be honest, if a guy I was flirting with told me he had slept with other people recently I would assume he didn't fancy me. Although I guess I wouldn't ask either..

She was in a mood because she wanted you to have spent your holiday wishing you were at work where you can stare at her, starry-eyed, in awe of her beauty.

She did not want to hear that you had a great time having sex with 3 different girls.

Is it unreasonable for her to be in a mood because of this? Yes.
Is it unreasonable for her to change her opinion of you because of this? No. She can think whatever she likes about you, regardless of whether or not you've done anything wrong. That's life unfortunately.

If you want to form a relationship with this girl, backpaddle quick. Try and sugar coat whatever you've told her.

I laughed when I saw this. I do wonder though how much the OP actually likes her if he had sex with three other women on his hols and answered the question truthfully.

jeez, if any girl in work asked me that, no matter how friendly we were, I'd be really embarrassed.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but that's pretty private. Admittedly, if one of the lads asked me, it wouldn't bother me.

I have a female friend who has asked me those sorts of questions before. She even asked me recently after a weekend in Berlin "if I got laid", in front of a couple of her friends. I found that really embarrassing. I said "no" and left it at that. I bet if I'd told the truth and said "yes" they'd all think I was a sleaze or a show-off. Imagine I asked that to one of the girls?

Anyway, putting aside that it's a rude quesiton, I'm not surprised how she reacted. It sounds like she's into you. If she wasn't, she'd just say "good for you".

Look on the bright side - you got three rides on your holiday, and there's a girl in work who you like who is clearly showing signs that she likes you

1.She might be annoyed because now she knows you're cheap enough to brag about conquests. You're not the man she thought you were.
2.She might be annoyed because she thought you liked her, and now thinks you don't.

If it's 1, she's a strong girl who knows what she wants and isn't likely to take any sh*t, (even if she does fancy you).
If it's 2, she's a girl who likes drama and will do her utmost to 'win you back'.

She DID ask you though, and you responded quite happily so maybe the two of you would make a great match.

Zebra3,

Everyone is entitled to give their advice as long as it adheres to forum charter/site rules and is on-topic. Interjecting purely to call other peoples advice shyte is neither.

Please take the time to read the forum rules in the charter and abide by them.

Many thanks.

.

bit harsh no? As zebra3 said, she asked him a fairly invasive question, and he just responded honestly.

If anyone's being "cheap" it's her, not him

He could easily have deflected the question instead of answering it. So yes he was bragging. I don't think she should've asked the question either though as it shows a lack of class on her part.
I think there was a lack of class shown on both sides.
