Building regs question, block partition wall?

Can some tell me if building regs stipulate a block wall between semi detached houses?

Timber frame houses sometimes have timber stud as party walls.

These party walls still have to comply with building regulations in relation to fire and sound as well as others....

It all comes down to fire rating. Once the wall achieves the rating it can be made of anything. As Syd stated timber frame houses are and example of no blockwork

I wasn't suggesting that Sinnerboy or Poor Uncle Tom had missed anything,
but nobody mentioned which TGD was relating to Fire, didn't see the reason to leave it out, especially seeing that Sound was reposted with the TGD ref :D:D
