What are these in the back of a CLK?

    Just a picture that was annoying me, enlighten me please as to whether this is a convertible thing I don't know about.

    What are the two circular holes in between the rear passenger seats in this CLK 350?

    It already has rear heater/air con vents at the rear of the centre armrest as shown here:

    So what are the circular holes? :confused:

    I'd go with speakers. Yeah look there's none on the sides that are visible at least.

    I think thats it. The below picture shows the 'BOSE' name under the circles and the picture is named subwoofer.

    Bizarre, they must be forward firing midranges. Never thought of speakers considering their location, must be for the front passengers benefit only.

    Its tagged as a Subwoofer; bass frequencies are a lot less directional so the opening (actual speaker is deeper inside I reckon) doesn't need to be as aimed as tweeters. Like those tossers with subwoofers in the boot you can hear from three streets away...
