    hi folks,
can some explain to me the pro s and cons of having a co2 or gas rifle,
i see alot of gbb scar s for sale and wondering if they are a good option in practice compared to an aeg .
do they cost much to have for a full days gaming for a trigger happy player

every pistol i see here usually has a leaky mags etc so is reliability a big issue with rifles ?

sorry if this has been up before , but i want to know from other experiences with them
    thanks in advance

If you're concerned about keeping stuff in running order (i.e. replacing mag seals when the leak etc) then you're better off with an aeg.

GBBRs are great - but they require a bit of TLC and rarely shoot as well as an aeg straight out of the box (due to the inconsistency of green gas and the upgrades usually required for a GBBR to handle co2). You'll need to look after your mags as much as you look after your guns - plus mags are much more expensive than an aeg mag (and are real cap - so mostly 30 rounds), so if you're trigger happy your mag costs can be more than the cost of the GBBR! And ... they're heavy. 10 GBBR mags are a lot heavier than 10 mid caps - and you'll only have 300 rounds - which you'd usually have in 3 mid caps.

But - the feeling of recoil from a GBBR is instant grin material! There's a lot to be said for it.

    You need to ask yourself:
    1. are you prepared to strip and maintain your GBBR after each use?
    2. are you prepared to do the same with your mags?
    3. do you want to take the cost of a set of 10 mags?
    4. are you prepared for your heart to be broken with inconsistent performance and general grief that comes from most GBBRs.
    5. can you deal with having to replace most of the internal parts (hammer/trigger set, anti-reversal latch, hop unit, hop rubber, fitting npas kit to allow adjustment of fps depending on the temperature)?

If you say yes to all those - then they're for you.
