Prepaid Visa cards

Hi all, I am looking into the possibility of getting a prepaid credit card for my holidays later this Summer. I figure it is a good way to avoid cash withdrawal fees, and as I will be paying for my accomodation over there, it saves me putting it on my credit card and being charged interest.

I was looking at this one...

    http://g.moneybookers.com/mastercard/ie/?rid=19331378&gclid=CJeV3cjluqkCFcJP4QodVjkQ8w#fees-tab

It seems to be fairly reasonable, €10 per year charge, no charge to top it up and no maximum or minimum balance. However there is a 1.99% charge on foreign exchange, does this mean everything I buy abroad will have a 1.99% surcharge on it? Are there any other charges I am missing?

Would appreciate any advice on this, or any other prepaid card. Thanks in advance.

If your card is in EURO and the transactions is in euros, there is no extra charges, except if you take out cash from atm. If you pay with foreign currency, they charge you.

Can highly recommend Moneybookers, instant deposit with Laser and Visa etc, and works like a charm. And if you book flights w Ryanair etc, you can avoid their card fees.

Other option suitable to you can be the O2 moneycard
