We're nearly finished (I use the executive 'we' here) sanding the floor, and have just now discovered that there are far, far better sanding machines than those offered by the local machine hire place.

Is there anywhere in Dublin that you can hire modern sanding machines with double drums and a facility to lift the drum off the floor as you reach the edge, and to hire a really good edge sander like, say, the Lagler Flip?

This is the kind of sanding machine I'm talking about (excellent tutorial here, by the way):

Unfortunately, no one on Boards felt able to offer help, but the author of the video says AZ Hire in Dublin has these machines.

These machines are widely available. I've used SAM Hire on the Malahide Road. Best thing is to ring ahead and find a hire shop near you.

Chadwicks use to do them also

Unfortunately, we went to our local place, where they said the machines they had (dreadful old things) were the most modern available. It was only later that we saw these ones on Conor's tutorial.
