Can anyone suggest a good RPG on the DS? I dont play many of them but fancy having a go at one. Ive played Chrono trigger on the snes many moons ago and thought it was wicked so someting similar would be cool.

You can add Dragon Quest 4-6, Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor, Might and Magic Clash of Heroes, Fire Emblem, Glory of Heracles, Etrian Odyssey 1-3, Final Fantasy Four Heroes of Light, Front Mission, Pokemon, Suikoden Tierkreis,

Also to be nit picky zelda is hardly an RPG.

I had a big long, detailed post in mind when I read the OP, but I think Scaldy and Retro listed just about every half decent RPG on the DS.
If I had to go for my personal top three it would be: Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest IX. Good variety, in terms of game play mechanics and narrative, in those three also. I heard good things about The world ends with you also but never played it.

@Retro Gamer: Was the Suikoden game released in the E.U.? I never came across it-really would like to get my hands on it.

Apparently it was, I've never seen a euro copy myself though. Ended up getting the US version.

Here's photo evidence of one anyway:

Yes it was but the print run of it was ridiculously low so it kind of vanished from shops after a few days.

I'm thinking of getting Chrono Trigger on the DS. Is it easy to find in the shops nowadays?

    Cheers!

Excellent choices! I recommend Suikoden Tierkreis for the best story in a Nintendo ds rpg...just er turn off the voice acting lol

Radiant Historia & Golden Sun are the best.
