As has been stated by nintendo, register the game by 30th June and you will receive a cd copy of the game's soundtrack. Now, with the suspected "phishing" attack on club nintendo, it looks increasingly likely we'll be unable to register the game in time.

I'd assume they'd extend the registration time frame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,614 ✭✭✭Nollog

Don't know what they're doing, since phishing isn't something they can control, but whatever it is they're doing will probably be finished by the end of the month.

Website back up this morning. Registered game but when presented with the form for the soundtrack cd I could not complete it. It insisted on a postcode despite selecting Ireland. There is no option to switch this off. Rang customer care who advised I email club nintendo which I did. Will update if/when I know more.

    Enter a blank postcode maybe?

I think if you enter the postcode for belfast sorting office ( dont have it here ) they forward it to you in the republic.

Any time I get asked for a post code I generally type 'NONE' and that works.

Failing that - 0000 or something similar.

    it's BT11AA i believe.

    problem solved.

Though it'll probaly go by country first before sorting by postcode....so NONE + Ireland should work.

Just ordered the soundtrack there. Put the BT11AA postcode in first and when it gave me an error I just turned off the address check. Last time I ordered something by turning off the check it was delivered no problem anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 171 ✭✭ScaldyMc

Good luck with those solutions. Unfortunately I cannot get back to that page to try them.

I can't see any option to turn off the address check. There normally is when ordering from the catalogue but not on this page.

Unfortunately none of the suggestions above worked.

Did you attempt to submit the form when you put the postcode in? The address check only shows up after the you attempt to submit it.

I did try. I used the other suggestions like 'NONE' and 'BT11AA' but when I'm returned to the form there is no option. Its no big deal though. It would be nice to get but not to worry.

On one occasion I had to repeatedly submit it until the page gave up and gave me the box to tick, but yeah emailing should sort it out

I think Club Nintendo said they weren't delivering to Ireland any longer

That was an error as far as I know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭nitromaster

Wouldn't let me proceed no matter what i entered  and clicking skip means you can't claim it at all.......(thought i could go back later)

    email sent to nintendo

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Azure_sky

Was it an issue with the post code? I think the default postcode for Ireland is 00000 or something. Leave us know what their response was.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,382 ✭✭✭Motley Crue

I can't get them to deliver to my default UK address, sent them an email, but heard nothing

Anyone else having trouble getting the Nintendo.co.uk website to work?

I (finally!) managed to register the game, got almost to the end of their stupid survey and got an error screen.

I couldn't register for my free CD and tried and tried for about 3 hours, but in the end I just had to give up. I really wanted it and everything!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Azure_sky

I can get through the website no problem but when I write down my County it says postal code is invalid. Why can't Ireland just use counties or cities as postal codes? It's so annoying.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 171 ✭✭ScaldyMc

Or why can't Nintendo switch off the requirement for a post code when Ireland is selected as the country.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Azure_sky

So is this it? Irish people are excluded from this offer?

No, we're not. It gave the option of united kingdom or ireland as well in the process i believe.
Just the whole thing was pretty messed up, the post code thing being one of the problems.

    Better still get one.

Looks like they've run out of stock and the soundtracks are no longer available... :(

Edit: False alert! The source was wrong, technical issues have been resolved and the offer continues until June 30. :)

Seriously, would it have been too much effort to make more copies and just include it from the outset for those who pre ordered the game?

Offer extended in the US due to technical problems....They better do likewise here especially as it was never meant to be limited.

It looks like I was able to order one just there.

I just kept trying my address until it gave me a checkbox to circumvent their broken automatic address system. Then, it still kept telling me the postal code was invalid, until I left it blank, and then it moved me along to the final screen informing me of my new Star balance. This ordering system they have is ridiculous, but this worked for me before when I ordered the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack from them.

So...hopefully this worked. Won't know for another eight weeks, anyway. :pac:

EDIT: Just checked my Star Balance menu, and it has a listing for a "Free Zelda Soundtrack CD" under my Recent Activities, so it looks like it went through!

That's brilliant! Tried it there and got it registered, and they sent an email to say that the cd will be on it's way within 8 weeks. Sorry for posting the false alert yesterday, I'm so glad it was wrong! :)

Just checking this now.....em, where are you supposed to go to register the soundtrack...because I've already registered my copy of Zelda and cannot find a link for taking part in the promotion?

Essentially, yes. Have a read of the latest Iwata Asks on nintendo.co.uk.

Just registered my copy, had to turn off the automated address lookup by leaving the postcode empty. Thanks A Changer! Now I play the waiting game.
Got an email there too saying it would be shipped to my address although the town and county were on the same line with no spaces. Should be a problem for the postie...I hope.

Christ their site is so slow... I registered mine by constantly submitting and then bypassing address check. I wish the hell they would have forms autolayout according to country. Registering my other Nintendo stuff now. Should end up with a lot of stars I hope. I hear the best thing is to trade them for Wii points.
