Roughly how much would we be talking to fix the paint on the doors of this Alfa 147?

I'm looking at €431.30 incl Vat for repair and respray of the damage from CarCraft.

Would the likes of Paint Doctor be cheaper? Seen his work and was impressed. Would ideally like to be paying sub €300.

Would this be able to be fixed by SMART repairs?

I'm in Cork, so I'd probably be no good to you. The price from CarCraft is very good! It can be done by SMART repairs, but the problem is that to do it correctly, it needs to be done indoors with so much bodywork being painted, and few SMART repairers have indoor workshops.

I honestly doubt you'll get the work done for less than 300 TBH, you're painting 2 doors and the quarter panel. A normal bodyshop quote would be close to 1k for the side of a car, the price you got from CarCraft is very reasonable.

Thanks for that PaintDoctor. How much would you charge as a matter of interest?

I wouldn't take the job on TBH, I very rarely do doors because of the time involved in getting the surfaces absolutely perfectly flat. A SMART repair is cost effective because you can usually repair the affected area and blend paint with the surrounding area. Doing a door isn't cost effective at all because there's nowhere to lose the paint and you end up using a large quantity and painting the whole door.

Grand thanks for the info. Looks like €430 is gonna be the best price.
