Blessington Lakes - resurfacing

    hey

    FYI as popular cycle route....

    Was cycling round the lakes today - they have resurfaced the roads before vallymount and beyond the village and also heading round the lake drive towards ballyknockan [ not sure if it goes the whole way towards lacken]. Unfortuntley its the light grey gravel [chipping] which are terrible for the bike/coming off. I have a feeling it could be like this for a while but hoping they will finish it off properly shortly.

    They have the on the road from Brittas up to the Sallygap, ~1300m of loose chippings on the road, about here: goo.gl/maps/VQWP

    Should be fun for the club league on Thursday.
