Looking for a bike carrier for 3 adult bikes and 1 one child (will be adults bike next 1-2 years) for a VW Passast.

    Any suggestions?

I have a 20 year old Hollywood rack that still works extremely well. If I was buying one now I would buy a Saris Rack.

My experience of Halfords racks is not good - very not good!

If you have a tow hitch, definitely get a rack that mounts to it. These are seriously the best option.

i have the halfords and so far no bothers, the hollywood woundnt do my car, and couldnt find one online that would suits, the only option was roof rack or hitch bar, but that was way out of control money wise. and then saw the one from halfords, and job done

Does anyone have this carrier? Going to be investing in one soon.

Got the Hollywood four bike rack from wiggle, and it does the job for four bikes, just about. Once you tighten the bejaysus out of everything before a long journey, and put a sock over the pedal nearest the paintwork, everything arrives unscratched. Otherwise expect a few minor scratches en route. If thing are tight, and paint work is precious, taking the pedals off makes sense.

If you have a tow bar, I reckon a Thule is a better option. But then we don't have a two bar, and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. YMMV.

I do. It's good. Fits in the boot when not in use. Not cheap though.
