Whitesnake

Whitesnake are one of my favorite bands, I got their newest album a while back and I was blown away, I would rank it right up there with their best from their heyday. Better than "Good to be bad" imo. Although it could be that I am overstating it because I thought it would be rubbish.

The title track is my fave:

Anyone else get it, if so what do you think?

What does the forum think of whitesnake?

we love whitesnake, always have, from rockin blues to 80's metal to now.
even maxpower has a whitesnake tee ( albeit under the deicide one)

it is my late ambition to play in a covers band and do some whitesnake early numbers, like give me more time, slow and easy, love ain't no stranger....

Bought the album on release and I think it's a very good piece. They are on tour and no Irish date this time.:( I have seen them many times and would have gone like a light again, great band live.

One of the best live bands I saw back in the day when Mickey Moody was still with 'em.

Bernie Marsden and Adrian Vandenberg joined them onstage in Sweden on Fri night.

Yeah, some great stuff from Marsden/Moody era 'Snake, I see Neil Murray has formed a new band with Moody called Snakecharmer!

I hear his voice is shot though, you can get round that in the studio I suppose but not live ? Does anyone know if he can still belt out a tune ?

The last night they played in the 02 with Def Leppard they played a fairly short set but he could still scream, nothing like the early days but still worth going to see. He takes serious breaks during gigs and allows the band to get on with their solos giving him some breathing time. The last gig was 2 years ago.

Top, top band. Sold my Whitesnake memorabilia collection when I was going to Niagara to the casinos 2 years ago though. Should have held on to the t shirts lol!

Probably my favourite band of all time. Love the 'Snake. Only wish I could have seen John Sykes playing with them...... wasn't born until after the '1987' album so that was an impossibility. Also would love to have seen them playing when Adrian Vandenberg and Steve Vai were in the band.

I still think that '1987' is one of the best albums ever, just such a perfect album with little to no songs that could be classed as filler.

Gutted that there's no Irish tour dates this time around, tho may venture out foreign as I've done before to see them. Brilliant live band...

Have you seen the rest of the line-up? Hell's Bells that's an outfit I want to see when they tour!

I used to be big into them in the late 70's and early 80's I haven't heard the new album TBH I thought they were finished with, I'll have to get a listen.

I presume you were joking, but I actually do!

Never been more than a casual fan mind, when I want classic/cheesy rock thats where the likes of the Crue, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top etc come in.
