Just thought I would put this out there on the off chance anyone would be willing to loan a VW Beetle for me to use at my Grand_uncles funeral on Wednesday. He drove Beetles for years and this would be a nice little tribute.
I know it's a big ask but its something I just thought of.
I am in Limerick county by the way,
    thanks:)

Should be someone in the county to assist, how would you manage insurance etc ??

I'm pretty sure I can transfer mine for the day, have done it in the past without an issue or have insurance to cover me if the other car is insured.
Like i said it's just something that popped into my head and I just thought I'd put it out there.
May even consider new type one in red if nothing else turns up;)

Have you tried the likes of Hertz car rentals?

Technically you may not be covered by your insurance if there is any hint of "hire or reward" such as event or funeral usage. This subject could come up in the unlikely event of an accident.

You would be better off looking for someone who can organise a beetle that would be covered with the necessary insurance policy to drive you to the funeral.

it's neither hire or reward as no-one makes money from it !
may have sourced a new type one anyway with insurance
