Has anyone seen this on rte1?
Seen it last nite for the first time,he was trying to boost a hardware store in rathfarnam, very interesting how he went about it.
He was pushing for a big community effort,I thought it was very a good show.

I love this programme. Think he is great.
Shame he can't tackle all the villages and promote the little shops

I watch this programme very sunday and it is superb.

FQ is a superb retailer and businessman. I remember him well packing bags at his Superquinn brach at Sundrive Road. This was when he was CEO of the company!

I think his insights and expertise and his positivity is exactly what this country needs now.

I always find shows like this, and also the Restaurant and Hotel Inspectors on C4 baffling.

The vast majority of the changes are so obvious, its not rocket science.

Its not rocket science but the two guys in the hardware store nor me would have come up with any of the stuff thet he came up with, even though afterwards it seems to just be common sense.:o

    Timing is everything.

This was the web site mentioned in the show last night when I checked it just now. Nothing clickable, a login and password thing

and it's down for maintenance. :(

You would think that anyone who is going to be on telly would make a huge effort to have their website working and also give your shop/business the once over so that the interested people who will flock to the shop after the show will be impressed. This really is common sense.

It was the same with the Brennans doing the hotels and guesthouses, the vast majority of them had crap or not working websites.........

These shows are good, as I am a figures man, I would prefer to see more figures involved, ie. T/O before FQ came, T/O afterwards.................he does create a great buzz about a place, and a grand opening is a real good way to promote your business. Those guys last night should have paid a teenager 50 euro to flier the whole of Rathfarnam with door to door leaflets, would have cost them in total about 150 euro, even if people don't read the leaflets they will become familiar with the name and brand..........so silly!!

Theres a guy in Limerick the exact same as him, his name is Ivan and they come from far and wide to buy from his shop.

On the website point, the same thing happened on that show a while back with Greens Stores. The website was a shambles and had the old name of the business.

Fergal bought himself a horse and took every Tuesday afternoon off to ride him. He called his horse Business so when anyone asked for him, his PA could say 'He was out on Business'.

    True story seemingly....... :D
