Brown Bread Ice Cream

Watching the irish Come Dine With Me this weekend reminded me of a delish scoop of brown bread ice cream I had at Murphy's ice cream parlour. I'd like to try it myself... I googled some recipes but was overwhelmed with the selection. Does anyone have any particular recommendations? I don't have an ice cream maker. Thanks!

Murphy's actually have a recipe on their own site here!

It says you can cover and place it in your freezer instead of using an icecream machine.
