Special Entrance Exams - Engineering

    If you were hoping to do engineering, but have made a mess of paper one (like myself) these are the colleges who provide the special entrance exams:

    Dublin Institute of Technology
    Cork Institute of Technology
    University of Limerick (I've asked a lecturer who said you can still sit the exam, even if you fail)
    NUI Galway

    Hopefully that will calm some of your nerves going into paper two.

    Our career guidance teacher showed us an NUIG entrance exam.
    It's not a mix of ordinary and honors like you would think. I thought it would just be a slightly easier honors paper. It's more, questions ripped straight from honors and ordinary, side by side. So some parts can be tricky.
    Overall though, they look really manageable.
