What yokey did they say before the gave the directions to the town hall in the listening.
It was like: Après le _______, prenez le premièr rue a droite

It sounded like feu or four but that wouldn't have made any sense :|

Besides that. 'twas pretty simple to be honest.

Did really good I thought, reading comprehension was near perfect, listening was ok and letter/postcard was really good. Definitely a high b or maybe an A.

That was great. :) I lost a few marks here and there, but I'm fairly confident that I got an A in it. :)

That was grand. Expecting a C when I went in, hoping for a B now! :)

Who decided to make that two and a half hours? That's too long in my opinion. I left with an hour to go. I think it should be two hours.
AND I WAS RIGHT THAT A FORMAL LETTER DIDNT COME UP!! who the **** started that a formal letter would come up??
well it did'nt :) lol why did u think one would come up when it never has on its own????

Get over it, seriously. It was only a prediction.

Both Junior and Leaving Cert honours French papers were scarily easy today. My own class are convinced they all have A grades too - - going to be a tough marking scheme though I'd say, only a small % can get A's:-( Well done everyone.

It was no easier than any other year tbf.

In the listening, one part of 5C, there was a question 'what time was the appointment made for?' yeah, does anyone remember what they said for that?

    Midi et demi

    12:30

    Certainly was tough to comprehend!

Damn, I said midday. I also said wind-sailing instead of wind surfing for planche á voile. I can't believe I invented a new sport...

What did everyone say for point 7 in the cooking instructions? Serve with green salad or pommes frites?

I just said "serve with green salad."

Google Translate tells me it's French fries.

Ya, i edited my post because I typed it into Google and chips appeared. Wouldn't a better translation be apple pieces?
The French should have realised that naming something "the apple of the ground" was going to cause confusion. :p

I think it was a fair paper, but it was on par with other years. I still think some of the past French papers were easier than this. Anyone agree that it wasn't exceptionally easy?

I repeat, look back at any exam paper and tell me if this one was actually easier? French isn't that hard en exam if you're good at it and Boards isn't an accurate representation of the country...obviously don't bank on A grades, looking back I don't know if I got one or not, but still...

Completely agree with this. Our exam was no easier than any other year really. It was fair, as I said above, but people saying it was exceptionally easy isn't accurate.

Also, does anyone know why the marking scheme in 2010 was so different? It's not as if the paper was exceptionally hard that year.

Absolutely delighted with that paper. I got an a in the pres and the pres was harder, this and c.s.p.e are my bankers for a, with a chance of an a in history

I was happy with French, except I always begin to daydream in listening comprehensions, then tune back in, horrified that I've missed a whole section and can only hear it once again..Argh. Other than that, the comprehensions were great. I'm fairly bad at letters so I'm not all that confident of getting an A. I'd be a bit sad if I got a B, but it's fineee.
