Um, before we begin....it's got 0% on RT :o

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/an_invisible_sign/

I watched this yesterday, but the trailer is misleading....it's making it look like a quirky/indie romantic comedy, while it does have some elements of romantic comedy it's more of a very offbeat indie flick.

The reason i'm posting it's not about the movie per se, but Jessica Alba and her acting performance, imo....her best to date, totally different to anything she's done before. She's really good in it imo.....her clothes, look, demeanour were like looking at a totally different person.

As for the movie, it's quite strange, in fact it had some rather disturbing bits, especially one scene in the classroom full of children...and an axe
It's kinda hard to pin down, it's like an indie movie but has a rather contrived plotline that many times makes no sense, scenes seem to have nothing to do with the rest.

Disjointed is the word i think, i'm highlighting it because i hear alot about Alba being dreadful, but i think this one has certainly shown off that she does have *some* acting chops.

id probably watch thsi more on the fact 47% of audience liked it, it shows how daft RT is when about half of the people who watched it liked it, and its score 0% on the tomatometer,:confused::confused:

From 13 reviews? You might be considering going to a movie about an oddball maths teacher, but you're no statistician.

Also, to put those numbers in context:
    Garfield
    RT score 13% -- RT users 54%
The Happening - RT score 18% -- RT users 29%
    Post Grad
    RT score 7% --- RT users 31%

It's actually hard to find a movie that critics pan which the Rotten Tomatoes audience didn't like more. The reason for that is simple: critics have to watch lots of movies, but the average punter just watches stuff (s)he thinks (s)he'll enjoy.
