    Hey all,
This question could have been asked many times before so if it has apologies.
I'm looking into getting an ipod so I can download podcasts from sites like rte radio etc. I'm not too up with all the different models so a bit of a heads up would be appreciated. I checked the apple site and they have ..ipod shuffle, ipod touch, classic and some other ones. What would people recommend? I don't really want huge storage, though maybe if I'm to store a few radio shows (lasting 2/3 hrs) that may take up quite a bit. Would the ipod shuffle do me?
Also if I got an iphone (or other smart phone) could I use it to download and store podcasts?

    Thanks in advance.

You can download podcasts direct to the Iphone using an app such as Podcaster. I don't have an Ipad so I don't know for sure but I'd say there's an Ipad version of it.

As for radio, there's an app called Tunein Radio that you can listen to any internet radio station. You can also record radio on it too which is good.

These'll work on an Ipod Touch too but you'll need to be in a WiFi area.

You could use any of the Ipods (touch, classic, shuffle etc.) but you'll need to have Itunes on your PC/Mac to transfer the podcasts across.

From what you describe OP, I would have said a 16GB ipod touch would fit the bill perfectly.

I would think a Nano would also be fine if cost is an issue Podcasts don't take up much memory. I find the touch and iPhone great though as you can download podcasts via wifi and not have to connect it to a laptop.
