    Hi
Does any body know is the humax foxsat remote compatible with any of the saorview approved set top boxes. I need to buy one of these and am trying to limit the amount of remotes.

I think they both use the same codes. You can set them to be REMOTE1 and REMOTE2 but I do not think you can get them to control both a Freesat box and a Freeview box at the same time but independant of each other.

I don't think you can get the humax remote to operate the HDR and a TV and another box at the same time (other than the Humax freeview box)

I think some philips tv codes can operate the Tesco freeview box, but not sure about saorview boxes.

I could be wrong but I don't think that the DVD and the Audio buttons on the Humax remote can be made to control other types of devices (eg I don't think you can associate the DVD button with a TV or another PVR)

Sam - what about you own MPEG4 box have you got managed to get the Humax remote to control that ?

SWMBO controls the HUMAX remote:D. I have not tried, because it is connected to the LG which is MPEG4. However, now you have put it in my head I will try and find out what codes the box uses, and which TVs it is like.

    I'll report back.

I intend to use one of the boxes on that TV as a PVR eventually, but not yet.

    Thanks

I see tesco direct sell the Humax Fox Hd T2 for £90. This box should work with Saorview I think.
