Galway film fleadh 2011

    Does anyone know anything going on this year?
    Any Galway shorts or features showing?
    Ive never been to the fleadh... so is it worth it?
    & do any big heads make the trip to Galway while its on?

    I'm planning on going in myself as a short I did sound for is being shown. Never been before so know very little about it unfortunately.

    I've been and it's usually odd films you usually wouldn't see, but often are great.
    I saw Torremolinos 73 some years back and loved it.

    The Fleadh is great. Very well attended by people who work in the industry. Go along to the Boat Club (official drinking hub of the festival) if you want to rub shoulders and get talking to people.

    And there are some great films every year. Treacle Jr on Fri 8th at 10pm is highly recommended - saw it at Dublin Film Festival earlier this year. And the short film screenings are always interesting.

    Program launch is nxt tuesday the 21st june ,cnt wait....program suppose to be as good this year
