So I have finally got my new bike...yay, and here she is :D

All I need now is some new tyres. The tyres on her are quite nobbly and seem like they will be nicely suited for some light trails but I want something which will give me a bit more speed on the road0perhaps a nice semi slick??? Any recommendations?

if only I could afford to buy 2 new bikes-just the new tyres I'm looking for at the moment, unless you want to buy that for me;)

Assuming you're after tyres purely for road use, the Schwalbe City Jets should do the job.

Or are you looking for something that is both good on road and on trail?

Yup, preferably something which would get me through GFW without too much bother

I have two of these I can give you for 30quid if you want em 26x2.2"

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dmr-moto-rt-wire-bead-tyre/

Used only a handfull of times, they roll fast on the road, fine for dry trails, grand for wet roads, far better than slicks, just not good in mud.
