Are there any videos of the Web summit (June 10th 2011)? How was it?

    expensive
I guess that's relative depending on the price paid (I'd assume the vast majority of guests managed to pick up the early bird tickets at €99 and a large number of those managed to avail of some of the various offers reducing it even further - most I know paid €49 - but I'd agree €299 or whatever the headline rate was is steep), but the value you get out of an event like that is very much dependant on yourself. While the presentations themselves were worth seeing (even if it did lack some of the attention/big name pull of previous events), the real benefit is in the networking that goes on at the event.

Personally, I found the event great. Anything with a BBQ, beers, a few gadgets to play with, a few new clients and meeting lots of interesting new people I'd never had the pleasure of meeting before (along with plenty of old friends) can't be bad. Having the presentations there was almost an aside (perhaps that says more about me than about the event though? :P).

I haven't seen any videos of the event go up yet (there were cameras there capturing the presentations for the internal screens, so I'd imagine it might happen. That said, even if they planned on uploading them I'd imagine they'd need the weekend to recover first). I did spot a few random clips pop up today, a quick chat with Mike Butcher (TechCrunch Europe) and a brief (caught on phone) clip from Jennifer O'Connell (TheJournal.ie), but I'm sure you were looking for something a little more in depth than that.
