I was wondering if there are any petrol companies out there that have fuel cards available to the individual driver and opposed to ones for companies or fleets,

    cheers

I just signed up for the Motorcheck one today, anyone can sign up once you have a bank account. Its for use in Topaz garages, plenty around me in Raheny.

I have a Topaz one as I'm insured with Axa and they offer them to their customers.

    +1

They do the billing run on the last Monday of the month and zap your current a/c via DD on the second Monday of the following month i.e. two weeks later.

If you signup for the (free) SMS reminder they send you a text message on Fridays telling you how much petrol & diesel is going to cost the following week which begins at midnight on Friday night. The message helpfully tells you whether you should buy fuel today (if it's going up at midnight) or wait until tomorrow (if it's going down).

When you get the card they give you a PIN but no filling station has so far asked me for it, they just swipe the card and print off an old-style credit card sales chit and ask you to sign it so if you lose the card you need to get on to Topaz ASAP or somebody will be filling up at your expense.

    Cheers for the replies,

I know this will sound stupid and its a long story but is there any fuel card companies that are not linked to Topaz??

What's the thing about "no €25 setup fee for motorcheck customers"? Does it cost anything to setup?

There's a topic about this already, on the very front page with the very same thread title as this.
Why not use that? It's already got 2+ pages of information in there.

I have a DCI card myself for diesel, find it very handy I have to say. I have 3 vehicles so no handing out cash and the lads not coming back with receipts can be a nightmare. DCI takes care of all that on the invoices and the abundance of sites in every town is great. Google them, think they are in Galway.

im pretty sure someone works for DCI..... draggin up dead posts.
