..Because this is getting a little bit ridiculous. I've been checking studentfinance.ie almost every day for the last month or two, and I continue to be greeted by the '2010-2011' application form.
When on earth are they releasing the 2012 application? I'm getting kind of worried that I may have missed something. Can you just apply for the 2010/11 grant and get upgraded? I was eligible last year before I dropped out.

I was told he is signing it monday or early next week as soon as he signs it he application will become available. hope thats a help.

The renewal forms were sent out with the adjustments for the grants on them.. I've no idea why they're holding back on the forms for the new applications. :(

It says on the renewal form if it's not back by June 24th that it may be delayed.. I hope that doesn't apply to new applications because if it does that's so harsh..

I got a letter from Meath Co.Council last week saying the 2011/12 grant form is available for download on their website:

Microsoft Word download of it: http://www.meath.ie/media/Media,46756,en.doc

If someone applied for the grant for the first time in 2010/2011 but was rejected due to repeating a year, should they apply for 2011/2012 with a new application or a renewal form?

I think that is the renewal form

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Johnny is correct. It is the renewal form, no good to anyone who hasn't had the grant already.

Can anyone tell me do I need a renewal form or do I have to apply from scratch?

I had the grant for my undergrad and am now applying for my postgrad (2 years later).

I know all of the requirements, 3 year rule etc. and I still qualify for the grant (unless they change requirements this year!!)

    :)

My grant renewal form (Dublin City Council) is completely different to that. Mine just asks for the details of the course for the 2011/2012 year (eg year I'll be in, course name, course code, commencement date, duration etc)

God, this is really dragging on now. I called my county council grants office a few times over the past few weeks, each time being told that the form is out next week, but then next week rolls on and still no sign. I called on Friday again and apparently it's out next week!

Anyone have any insider knowledge of when the grant form is actually coming out? I'm intending to head away for July and August and want to have the grant sorted before I go. Thanks.
