    Lookin for a good rear tyre for a fixe , last 1 blow up after 3-4weeks , might have been cause of glass so , and the 1 i have i keep gettin punctures so im just wonderin whats a good rear tyre that will last long ?

    Does a "fixie" require a special tyre ?

    Otherwise Specialized Armadillos are great tyres not puncturing, others find them a problem in the wet but I have had no problems:

    Although I have to say I have found them very difficult to get off a tyre rim.

    Yeah, found a pair of Gatorskins in my shed and put them on my bike a while ago. Very few punctures, not too heavy, good for training or running around town.

    vittoira randonneurs are nice, i have been using them recently and have had no problems.

    If you're going to be skidding it a lot, i'd suggest getting a cheap one for the rear. imo if you want nice tyres why ruin them by not having brakes

    or you could buy panarace ribmo and skid the **** out of it for about 6 months straight instead of buying cheap tyres, but it could work both ways.:cool:

    My fav tyres on the fixie are Schwalbe Durano Plus, not as puncture resistant as Marathons, but a good compromise. If you are getting a lot of punctures, riding position is more likely to be the cause than the tyre, though.

    Yeah, I use those Durano Plus tyres too, and I've not had a puncture yet. :cool: I'd also recommend the Armadillos too.
