Mic Stands, Clips etc

I was wondering what mic stands and mic clips you use? I am getting increasingly frustrated with the gear we have here. It's covered in tape just to keep it together. I was hoping to replace them with some better quality gear.
Also, what do you use to store your mics and cables etc. Is there any specific gear you would recommend for general studio management. This place is a mess!

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Mic stands are folded up in the base of the couch and cables are hung on cup hooks.

    What you need is -

Carefully made in Dublin by David Browne.

http://www.thomann.de/gb/audix_cab_grabber.htm these are amazing for guitar cabs, your mic doesn't move at all, normal boom stands used to always gradually drop on me and the sound would go completely.

Yeah the grabber from thomann is good, sometimes it carries through to much bottom-end rumble but I guess it depends on the amp/mic combination.

    Thanks chaps!

I had a monster clean up over the weekend. I built a large flight case which is now home for my mic stands and all my cables. It was a lot of work but worth it in the end.
Thanks for the links to the gear. I'll be making some purchases over the next few weeks.

Do you mean noise acoustically coupled from stage floor through amp cabinet, or just proximity effect?
