    I have inherited some baby monitors, but they are old now and hiss with interferance. am I using them incorrectly ? do they all hiss ? would new ones be any better ?

    That is normal.
    It depends on what frequency they are operating and what else around you operates at ismilar frequencies.
    Some just buzz and have interference on matter what.
    Our cheap fisher price one is terrible for buzzing,our expensive angel sounds one doesn't make a sound.

    I think with a bit of careful placing and channel swapping I have made the sensors alot quieter... Thanks moonbeam.
