    I know they value creativity and new views of interpretation of questions in the leaving cert, but, should I really have based my essay about a crome fighting duck?

    No reason why not. If it's good, it's good.

    I think breaking the boundaries of the norm should be respected and rewarded as long as the writing is good.

    If it's marked down for being "stupid" or "unrealistc", then complain.

    I like that idea by the way :D

    A crime-fighting duck is one thing, a duck with a violent dislike of one of the better web browsers out there is an entirely different matter.
