Do I need quotes for Dúnmharú ar an Dart? I didn't use any in the pre and I got an A so I'm guessing not? :L

I don't use quotes either and I got full marks in that section. I just keep saying what was happening and why like referring to it so it's the same thing essentially.

If you haven't covered it in class don't do it. You need a lot of vocab if you don't know it it's too late.. Stories are way easier anyway!

You're supposed to use quotes for the poetry, but there's no need for the prós. If you're grand without them, fair enough.

    I love Subh Milis!

I quote like the whole poem in the poetry but not for the story.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 584 ✭✭✭rorrissey

I have to relearn my poems quickly before the exam. :) I'll just look over Imeagla and Colm. Go n-éiri libh. :)

    Did the Disco story
    Learned Prós went ok too
    Everything else went crap
Reckon I got 55-60% in that paper :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,259 ✭✭✭TheRedDevil10

epic paper :) gra came up on both pros and poem, cudnt b happier. Letter on going to a disco was lethal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭FatRat

    Easy Easy Easy.

I reckon I got close to 100% in paper 1. Paper 2 was probably a small bit worse by me. Probably got around 90%
Either way, an A no bother, I'd say. Unless I find out I did something completeley wrong

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,345 ✭✭✭buyer95

Omg it was soo much easier that I thought it would be! The unseen was 10 times easier than in the pres for both the poetry and prose. I could actually understand what was happening in both. Also both my themes came up! bron for an t-adh and gra for luichin sa scoil! Only 2 i knew well.

Also letter wasnt too bad with the disco

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 651 ✭✭✭Lucan Bohs

Harder than p1 but still really happy

My studied pros and poem came up :)

I did the youth club letter, had to make it up on the spot but I think I gave it a reasonable attempt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,345 ✭✭✭buyer95

I got 66% in the pres and did absolutely awful on paper 2 but paper 2 was so much easier today! I think I might have bumped my grade up to a b(fingers crossed)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭cantanstrophe

Well, that was grand. Hoping Maths Paper 2 is as good :pac:

did you even do the test? If you did then you'd know that the letter is in paper 2.

    That was grand too!

Unseen Pró - Good. Did Áthas for Ag Dul Siar.

Unseen Poetry - Simple. Brón for Subh Milis.

Letter - Savage! I did the disco one.

Unseen Prós - This was fairly simple. I did 1 and 2 in part A, and question 2 from B.

Unseen Poetry - I didn't do too well on this section (didn't have the vocab). I did question 3 in part A, and questions 1 and 2 in part B.

Overall, delighted with Irish. Guaranteed a B! :pac:

Way to put a dampner on or high spirits. Were stressed junior cert students, the last thing we need is people telling us that something we found ok will be marked hard!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,248 ✭✭✭Slow Show

I haven't read through any of this yet nor seen any reactions but I just have to say one thing.

Oh Irish, you sexy beast of a language/subject.

Does anyone know the word for shift in irish?;)
I struggled to write about the disco without it

If ye were that stressed ye wouldn't be on this talking about today's exams and ye would be studying for tomorrow. It's the truth...the easier the exam is and the more likely you think you are to have gotten an A the harder the exam will be marked and you might not get what you had thought.
