Bike lock advice

    Anyone have any tips on breaking a bike lock like this one

    Im repairing an old bike that i got from a friend but he doesnt know the lock code.

    A former flatmate regularly used to have to get me to open his combination lock because he kept forgetting the code. I didn't know the code either.

    More expensive ones might be different, but for the cheapo ones all you have to do is keep tension on it, then see which dial is stiffest and turn it until you can kinda feel it click. Then another one will become stiff and you just repeat the process until it opens.

    Pull on it with your bare hands till it snaps, thats how other bike thieves break them :eek:

    Ive broken them with a pliers before. You dont need much to break them, they are ****.

    Even though it's a pretty basic lock, we don't allow threads that ask how to break them for obvious reasons

    As it's a combination lock though, a little patience should get you there;)
