Anyone know how many headshot style shots can be taken in one hour - say like for graduation pics, etc.?

we would usually take school photos in 3 mins per child. I would imagine it would take less time for an older person unless they keep wanting to see their photo and insist that you take it again

Thanks. I wouldn't have thought it would be that speedy!

    Welcome to the forum.

Your question is a bit vague. Are we talking about a single photographer
and camera? I think you can expect to take several minutes per shot
or 10-30 per hour. This assumes the subjects are very cooperative.

Typical exposure times are 1/125s outdoors or indoors with a
flash. Obviously you could take thousands of shots per hour
if you used multiple cameras and put the subjects on a conveyor
    belt :)

too many variables .... how many pics can be taken in an hour ?

depends on the people, the lighting, time/space available, assistance, posing, etc.

if you rush the situation you may get people flustered and not able to pose properly to get a decent image, you may have people with unflattering poses/images (eyes closed, hair across the face, something in background distracting from image)

usually a photographer needs/wants to give a couple of minutes to allow the subject to get comfortable before taking an image.... sometimes images may need to be re-taken due to different exposures due to different skin tones at the same settings.

I'd say lots and lots and lots...

GradImages video (go to about 1:25 in the video).

I guess it depends on whether you want to line them like a conveyor belt, or whether you actually want to spend a couple of minutes on each person to make sure they're smiling/happy with the shots.
(Quick calculation from watching the video, 4 shots in 10 seconds = 24 per min = 1440 per hour assuming you have a neverending queue and no pauses/retakes/camera issues?)
