I am working full time, soon to move to part-time contract but still 30k+ , I am about to enter my second year of part-time research at mphil level paying 1850 per year.

Last year (first year) i filled in a form and sent it to the revenue and never heard back. i've been through the the student finance website but its a mine-field.

Can anyone advise if I can claim back any or all of the 1850, and if so, how? Both for 2010 and 2011....

    any help would be great!!!

    thanks.

You wont get it all back, the rates are detailed on the website. If you sent off the form last year then you may have got the tax back in your wages. Check your payslips. Mine was processed within a week.

You need to check also to be sure that your course is on the list of approved courses.
