I just spotted this on Facebook and thought it might be of interest to some here. The Irish Wildlife Trust are putting on an afternoon of talks for EU Fish Week (apparently this week - first I'd heard of it :o). It's on Saturday 11th in Pearse St Library, Dublin, from 1pm to 3pm.

To mark European Fish Week the IWT is holding a series of short talks in Dublin city centre. These will include IWT fish scientist and co-author of recent scientific papers showing how fish is being mislabeled as cod, Dana Miller; Fisherman Johnny Woodlock of the Irish Seal Sanctuary who will talk about his experience on a prawn trawler; and Victor Kustichev who will share his wonderful photos of marine wildlife. It promises to be an informative and entertaining afternoon. Entry is free and open to all – email dublinbranch@iwt.ie for more information.
