I was pricing flights from dublin to bangkok earlier today and I selected the flexible option, I was suprised to see flights with turkish airlines leavig sun 24th of jul and returning saturday 06th of august for 750 euro, when I went back to check a few mins ago the prices had gone up to 950 for the same dates, what gives?

I think this is how it works, airlines usually have a set number of seats at a certain price when these sell out, there is another set number of seats at a higher price and so on.
Im guessing when you looked up the flights there was probably only a small few left at this price and in the 2 hours someone bought them. Hard luck id say

Good luck i would say... on not booking Turkish Airlines!... Hardly the worlds best carrier... especially at that price!

A bit off topic but i would have thoght they would have been cheaper given that its the rainy season.

consider yourself quite lucky to not be flying Turkish Airlines. They don't have an exemplary safety record and imo its worth spending the extra money for the piece of mind to know you'll get there in one piece

I think qantas are considered a better airline than ethiad

It may be rainy season but July/August are also peak seasons as thats when most people over here get their holidays.

Turkish airlines dont have that bad a safety record at all. I will always go for the cheapest airline no matter what, it has never made sense to me why people pay a few hundred extra to fly with a different airline for a few hours flight

If i were you i would go with eva-air,they fly direct from Heathrow and are a great airline, just get your own flight from Cork/Dublin,or you can't go wrong with Etihad and bit more expensive but well worth it.

I don't know why people are complaining about Turkish air,ive flown with them twice to Bangkok and i had a great flight with no problems.

I'm sure the people complaining about them have never flown with them. I've flown with them a number of times and found them fine. The food was actually quite good.

Indeed, I'm not quite sure which Turkish Airlines some people are speaking of..

They've got new, clean aircraft. Good to excellent food, good entertainment systems. Their safety record is no worse than many other airlines out there, and they have to meet the same safety standards as any airline flying into the EU/US etc.
