    Hi all,

Had my car checked over in the past couple of days and discovered my front right tyre and back left tyre are both in need of replacing, just wanted to know if anyone knows of a good place to get low-priced tyres and have them fitted in Cork!I'm only working part-time so money's a bit of an issue but obviously I want the tyres to be of a safe standard! Thanks!

RedTag in Vicar's Road and AutoMotif across from Harvey Norman are both reasonable, so too John Banks in Turner's Cross and any of the Ricky Galvin outlets.

    Are you SouthSide or NorthSide?

I always found Dessie's in Blackpool to be a tad expensive but the late opening and 7 days a week facility does have to be paid for.

Southside but close enough to the link that I can get most places without much hassle! Since it's one front tyre and one back tyre that needs replacing and it's recommended to replace the back tyres if only replacing two, does this mean I should replace all 4? The front right tyre is quite badly worn on the inside because of a suspension problem which I'm getting fixed today

They can put your two good tyres on the back or front and then put the new ones on the other axle. I'd be inclined to go to Automotif if I was you as the lads there are mechanics and very helpful :)

Well that's a relief!Have to buy wiper blades too so the costs were starting to look a bit scary! All in all have about €300 worth of stuff that needs doing to the car, it's my first one though and 11 years old so I expected a bit of replacing needed to be done, just didn't think it was this much! Ah well sure, better safe and in a car that's up to scratch than in a ditch somewhere because I didn't bother fixing something!
