    Hi all,

I've a 2005 VW Touareg which had a replacemtn windscreen fitted last week. Since then my wipers have been incredibly noisy. Could the noise be a result of the windscreen not being fitted properly or perhaps even the wrong windscreen being fitted?

I don't want to go back to the windscreen fitting people if the two are unrelated but it seems like more than just co-incidence.

    Would appreciate your thoughts.

    Ben

Have you decent screenwash in the bottle?

    Hi Henry,

Yes I do, can't recall the brand right now but I always use a good screen wash when I top up and plenty of it.

The problem has only occurred since the new windscreen was installed. Could it be that the new windscreen has a slightly different profile to the old windscreen and the blades are skipping across it as a result?

Perhaps changing the blades is the best place to start?

    Ben

theres an unusual spacer on the passenger side wiper linkage, my moneys on the window fitters having reassembled it incorrectly and the arms are now rubbing the plenum cover
