    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to manually turn on their central heating at their boiler. I have a gloworm 18sxi & I need a new control panel (happening next week) but I know there is a way to manually turn the heat on from the boiler itself, I just cant remember to do it!

    Thanks.

Nope ,only option is to locate a motorised valve and manually open it. Thats if you mean timeclock and not pcb:(

Try to rember where you've put the manual.

    Thanks yoshytoshy for the reply.

I have the manual & there is no reference to it. We had problems in the past & a gloworm engineer looked at it & to my knowledge started the boiler running manually, I just cant remember what he did.

The boiler doesn't understand the owner, Billy Bunting.

The Glow-worm engineer temporarily installed a link wire within the boiler to run it manually by-passing the controller. Only a trained professional would know about this and should not be attempted by a home owner I'm afraid.
