Shocking coverage of the Christy Ring

Little or no coverage of Christy Ring final. The GAA should be ashamed of themselves, the only way to make hurling grow is to promote it in every county. This is a competition that just keeps getting swept under the carpet. When it was originally started back in 2005, the final was in Croke Park, live on television and before one of the All Ireland semi finals. Now the competition is played off almost completley in May, with the final out of sight on a Saturday in Croke Park. It's a complete joke and a slap in the face for the players! It has been treated as an irritation that had to be gotten out of the way lest it distract from the real hurling. RTE gave it about 30 seconds !! They show Div 3 and 4 football league finals live in full and they give the Div 2 hurling championship a couple of seconds. Once the minor teams from the top tier counties get to play their semi finals in Croke Park then everyting is ok.... the top tier counties got their way on that one

Ya I found it odd to see the Lord Meagher final being played recently.

As I remembered back a few years ago these cups used to be played over the summer.
At my first match in Croker I saw the Rackard(?) final between Louth and London before the Galway/KK semi final

And wasn't last years final in the C.Ring at least held late in the year?... in Thurles?..... Was televised too(maybe only on TG4 though before and U21 game)
