Partner entitled to any increase for child?

My partner is unemployed and we are having a baby. I am in full time employment and we don't live together. Is he entitled to any increase from the basic payment due to the baby? Maybe someone has similar situation

To my knowledge the answer is No , given that you are employed I can't see how you having a child would change his entitlements.

Well we are not rich and he has more responsibility I guess.

I think, not sure, the child(dependent) has to be living with the sw recipient to be able to get the increase.

It's all a bit unclear tbh. I am almost sure he is entitled to nothing and if we lived together he would be cut altogether, with the state expecting me to support him.

Yep you exactly right.
If you're not married but he is supporting his child, he may get €29 divided by 2 so €14.50 per week.

Rules
To get an Increase for a Qualified Child, your child must:

Be resident in the state
Not be in legal custody
Satisfy the age condition for that payment
Live with you.
