Renting a bike on a Bank Holiday Monday in Cork.

    Are bike shops open tomorrow? Where can I rent a bike in Cork city?

    I made an inquiry about this on behalf of a friend a while back. The only crowd that I found were Rother Cycles. The URL which I had for them no longer seems to work http://www.rotharcycletours.com/ Anyhow, they quoted me €40 a day for a road bike (fairly steep I thought) and they suggested a totally inappropriately sized bike for my friend.

    You might try West End Cycles although they might not be open. They are outside the city and might be hard to get to with the traffic restrictions which will be in place due to the marathon.

    It's bizarre where that link takes you!

    Do you reckon they're open tomorrow? I'd just be looking for a hybrid for moseying around.

    Yeah, the route is making me think twice about cycling at all. Part of the route is down by the marina where I was thinking of heading.
